The After Image Effect is an object in Sonic the Hedgehog, appearing in all playable stages in the standard game mode GM_Level, along with Sonic. It only appears if Sonic has Super Shoes, or becomes Super Sonic. If the relevant mod is disabled, this object will not be present in the game.

If any value (should be $02) is loaded into obSubtype, the after-images will follow the object loaded into v_followobject. Otherwise, it will follow the object loaded into v_player (usually Sonic).
