0. Install XCode and its command line tools. Then install `Homebrew <https://brew.sh/>`_.
1. Install `SoapySDR <https://github.com/pothosware/homebrew-pothos/wiki>`_ by following the steps for Homebrew.
2. Python 3.6 and pip3 will be installed as a dependency from the installation above, now run::

pip3 install PyQt5
pip3 install QSpectrumAnalyzer

You should then be able to run it with ``qspectrumanalyzer`` (or ``python3 -m qspectrumanalyzer`` if it doesn't work for you).
