Those are any written work that want to keep track. If it's a novel or a monograph, it's up to you. Even if you don't have a particular target, you can add it as a project.

Fields

Name

The name of this project. It must be unique and have at least 3 characters. It's length must also be less than 256 characters.

Starting wordcount

If you already have written something on your project but didn't keep track of sessions, set the current wordcount in here. It's reflected towards the project progress bar, but since we can't tell when you have written, it doesn't count for targets nor productivity statistics.

Target wordcount

The total amount of words you intend to achieve by the end of this project. If you don't have such target, put 0 (zero) here. There won't progress bars if there's no targets, but the total written wordcount will be shown in its place.

Description

A short (or not so much) and meaningful description of the project to keep for yourself. Use this field to store useful notes and reminders.

Active

Check if you are currently working on this projects. Inactive projects are considered archived and do not show on the dashboard nor in the default list of projects.

Finished

Check if you already finished this project. Projects that are not finished nor active are considered abandoned, though it doesn't have any effect currently. Finished projects remain active unless the active checkbox is unmarked.

Genres

General categorization of you project. You can mark as many as you want (even zero). This list can be customized in a per user basis. See Genres.
