Dr. Geda received his PhD in Industrial Engineering from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, where his doctoral thesis focused on integrated product design and remanufacturing. He also holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from Politecnico di Torino, Italy.

Previously, he worked as a Senior Lecturer at the School of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, Mekelle University, Ethiopia. During his tenure, he taught several Industrial and Systems Engineering courses, supervised final-year projects, and served in various leadership positions.

Dr. Geda is currently a Research Fellow in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Previously, he worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Laboratory for Artificial Intelligence in Design (AiDLab), where he led a research project on Intelligent Systems for Affective Product Design. His research interests include machine learning, AI, automation, and human-computer interaction.
