Furhat Robot

Introduction

FURHAT is a social robot, able to interact with users through speech recognition and vision. In our case, a simple demo has been designed to explain the user how to launch and interact during the CollaborativeBaxter demo.

Setup Furhat

1. Switch on the FURHAT robot, thanks to the black button on the back of the robot.
2. Wait a moment. When you see the FURHAT face animated, the robot is ready.
3. Access the admin panel from the remote computer: open a Google Chrome tab (preferably, as Firefox may crash), and access the FURHAT IP (it should be 192.168.131.3).
   • If the IP is not correct, plug-in a keyboard and type Ctrl+I. The IP should be displayed on FURHAT's head. Then, press CTRL+X to exit the menu.
4. The default password is admin
5. Go to the Skills menu
6. Click Run on the BoR_demo entry.
7. FURHAT should now start to speak.

Edit Furhat behavior

On the admin panel, Click Edit on the BoR_demo entry. The integrated editor allows you to edit FURHAT's behavior. For more information, please check the Official Documentation.
