Did you check https://github.com/stolostron/multicluster-observability-operator?tab=readme-ov-file#2-metrics-integration ?
Here you just updated the current metrics collection. From what I see, for platform metrics with MCOA, the node_cpu_seconds_total:mode_idle:avg_rate5m rule is collected. And in the virtualization scrape-config, the raw node_cpu_seconds_total metric is collected.
