You may be referring to the visual editor in the online tools (a.k.a. DOTS).
If so, you probably need to be a bit more specific and perhaps include some screenshots.
Another approach, which is even easier, is to generate an SPDX document from GitHub using their Export SBOM button which can be found navigating from the repository home page to insights the selecting "dependency graph" on the left. The export button shows up on the right side of the screen.
Added a beginner-friendly method to generate SPDX using GitHub's Export SBOM feature. Included clearer step-by-step instructions and a screenshot for better understanding.
