Product Design + Prototype Project Focus: Last-mile logistics operations intelligence
This repository contains both the product thinking and a working prototype of a logistics hub operations dashboard.
If you're exploring the project, the best way to navigate it is:
Start here
• README.md - overview of the product and the operational problem
• PRODUCT_STRATEGY.md - why the system exists and how it supports hub managers
• USER_WORKFLOW.md - how last-mile logistics hubs actually operate day to day
• SYSTEM_ARCHITECTURE.md - how the dashboard prototype is structured
• FUTURE_ROADMAP.md - how the product could evolve further
Together these files explain both the product thinking and the working prototype.
A prototype operations command center built for last-mile logistics hub managers - the people responsible for making sure thousands of packages actually reach their destination every day. Most logistics tools dump raw data and leave operators to figure out what’s wrong.
This dashboard is built around a different idea: Surface the risks before they become problems, and put the right information in front of the right person at the right time.
Hub Team Leads are managing a lot of moving parts simultaneously - inbound shipments, rider availability, dispatch timelines, delivery failures, SLA pressure.
The four questions they need answered quickly every single day are:
- How many shipments do I need to process today?
- Do I have enough riders to cover it?
- Are deliveries on track or am I headed toward an SLA breach?
- Where are failures piling up, and why?
This dashboard is built around helping operators answer those questions quickly.
The goal is not to show more information. The goal is to show the right information at the right time so that operations teams can keep the system moving.
