The archives sidebar plugin currently can show the last X days/week/months, it can count how many entries have been in the respective period and it can ignore periods without blog entries. But it then won't go on, search for older entries to fill the archive display. This PR adds this search for older entries as a new default behaviour.
Based on https://board.s9y.org/viewtopic.php?t=27648, a forum thread where that functionality was requested.
If we want this, the performance impact should be improved by starting not at the current day, but at the timestamp of the last entry.
