Prerequisites

  • Docker and Docker Compose
  • 8GB+ RAM recommended
  • 50GB+ storage space

Installation

  1. Clone the repository

    git clone https://github.com/rohansen856/elk-stack-monitoring
    cd elk-stack-monitoring
  2. Configure environment

    cp .env.example .env
    # Edit .env if needed (default settings work for development)
  3. Start all services

    docker-compose up -d

    Note: Database migrations now run automatically! No manual steps needed.

  4. Wait for services to start (optional verification)

    # Check all services are running
    docker-compose ps
    
    # Check service health
    curl http://localhost:8000/health
    curl http://localhost:9200/_cluster/health
