Hi @agiudiceandrea , this is again available for testing on https://staging.qgis.org/. We have set a basic authentication to prevent the staging site from being indexed by search engines:

  • username: staging_space
  • password: qgis_universe

I would highly appreciate some feedback/suggestions regarding this implementation in order to merge/make live this PR. Thanks. Cc @timlinux

@Xpirix , I've tried to access https://staging.qgis.org/ but it redirects to https://qgis.org/ without the possibility of insert user and password. I've also tried https://staging_space:qgis_universe@staging.qgis.org/ with no avail.

Hi @agiudiceandrea , it should show the prompt without redirecting (see screenshot below). You probably still have the DNS cache for the previous staging site. Could you please try to flush the DNS cache or access it with an anonymous browser like Tor:

They should be; I triggered the update 2 days ago. The workflow will be automatically triggered once this is merged.

It looks like the upper navigation bar is always displayed in English, whereas its strings are translate in Transifex.

It looks like the upper navigation bar is always displayed in English, whereas its strings are translate in Transifex.

That's correct. The reason is that the Navigation bar is a separate module, and the translation feature is not included there yet.

Question: is the plan to release every languages available in Transifex or should we set a minimal translation ratio allowing publication? I'd be in favor of the latter. The desktop sets a threshold of 35% for releasing, the docs is at 5% (but that is quite a very very bad idea - too low, resulting in too many English pages).

Maybe some pages could also be required fully translated beforehand, but that one may require more work from administrators. Not ideal.
