The default library for lcd does not work for some older Hitachi display modules.
The issue manifests as corrupted display when lcd_print_centre_timed() is used. This occurs during initialisation and when WPM is changed (possibly others).
service_display() does work correctly without this fix.
Tested with Hitachi LM041L (4x16) display driven by an Arduino Nano.
The display timing is very much slowed down but this does not seem to affect basic keying even at 35wpm. YMMV.
