Hashtag URLs not working

I was trying the original plugin (https://es.wordpress.org/plugins/buddypress-activity-stream-hashtags/advanced/) and hashtag URL are not working fine. They're always throwing a 404 error: https://www.weloveyou.academy/activity/tags/reset.
And in your plugin there's some HTML code with a hashtag converting to link https://imgur.com/YZJksPG
Any tips to make this work fine? Thanks!

The original plugin hasn't been updated in quite some time. You should probably use our fork for now.

Actually, your screenshot shows something different.

Can you outline what the problem is? Can you copy and paste what you are using for your hashtag?

@r-a-y when I install your plugin, all the comment boxes appear like my screenshot. Instead of 1 comment, it appears like my screenshot. It seem your plugin is trying to put a link in an id tag, part of the a element of the 1 comment link. Does it make sense?

It's probably a problem with your theme. What theme are you using? Can you duplicate this problem if you switch to a WordPress default theme like Twenty Seventeen?

If you are continually getting problems, you can disable the filter on activity comments with the following:

remove_filter( 'bp_activity_comment_content', 'etivite_bp_activity_hashtags_filter' );

We built the theme from scratch and we're only overwriting few buddypress templates. Should I try with original templates first? Thanks

Switch your theme so you can tell if it is a problem with your theme or not. If it is working with a WordPress default theme, then it is a problem with your overrides, which you'll need to debug on your own.

The problem persist with twentyseventeen theme enabled. Maybe it is doing conflict with another plugin? I can't try this in production environment, but maybe we can build some test elsewhere.
The filter you suggested didn't seem to work neither to solve this issue.

Can you list some steps to duplicate the problem from a fresh install of WordPress, BuddyPress and BuddyPress Activity Hashtags?
