Previously, I was the founding engineering manager for Kong Gateway, where I helped grow Kong from an open-source API gateway into a broader API and AI infrastructure platform. I built and led a 60+ person distributed engineering organization working on gateways, Kubernetes, developer tools, and AI infrastructure.
Before Kong, I was the #4 engineer and Tech Lead on Cloudflare’s Edge team, helping scale CDN, WAF, and Edge Proxy systems that served trillions of requests per day. I was also a major contributor to OpenResty.
I’m interested in distributed systems, resilient infrastructure, and the execution layer for reliable AI agents.
