This version of the APK Distribution App brings some bug fixes and allows distribution using user Groups.

The APK Distribution Web App introduces a sophisticated and user-centric enhancement to the download button logic. This new functionality ensures that users always get the most relevant and up-to-date version of our app, tailored specifically to their needs.

For users who are part of a specific user group, the download button will provide the corresponding APK tailored to their group's requirements. This feature ensures that all group members have the right version optimized for their collective needs and workflows.

GENERIC FEATURES

This version of the APK Distribution App brings some bug fixes and allows distribution using user Groups.

  • Enhanced Access Control: Admin users now have the ability to assign or grant access to user groups for specific "Android app versions". This feature provides granular control over who can access each version of the app, ensuring secure and efficient distribution.

  • Flexible User Group Assignments: User groups can now be assigned to multiple "Android app versions". However, users within these groups will only access the latest version allocated to their group, simplifying version management and ensuring users always have access to the most up-to-date app version.

  • Instance-wide Access Management: It is now possible to not assign a user group to a "Android app version." In such cases, all users within that instance will automatically gain access to that version, streamlining access management for administrators.

  • Default Version Handling: In instances where more than one "Android app version" remains unassigned to any user group, the latest version will automatically be designated as the "Default." This ensures that only the latest version is accessible to all users within the instance, maintaining consistency and minimizing confusion.

These new features allow administrators with greater flexibility and control over app version distribution, simplifying access management and ensuring a seamless user experience for all.

GENERIC FEATURES

This is the first version of the APK Distribution App. The app enables implementation administrators to manage and control the version of the Android app, making it easier to manage app updates and ensure compatibility with the DHIS2 system.

Admins can upload the desired version, and users will get a prompt message to update when they are not in the last updated version.

  • Creating initial configuration.
  • Upload new APK version.
  • Edit and Delete APK version.
