Summary

  • Translate InterSecLab's "MADLink: A Taiwanese Vestige in the Geedge Supply Chain" (published 2026-04-24) to Traditional Chinese (Taiwan)
  • Continue the multi-chapter pattern established by the existing Internet Coup translation at zh-TW/reports/interseclab-network-coup/
  • 5 content chapters + landing page covering supply chain analysis of Taiwan-based ADLINK Technologies hardware found in Geedge Networks' surveillance products

Translation scope

File Content
index.md Landing page, chapter index, editorial neutrality statement, Matrix discussion link, About InterSecLab section
index_1.md Executive Summary, What we found, Why it matters
index_2.md Geedge supply chain + three TSG hardware generations (TSG-ADC, TSG-9140, TSG-X)
index_3.md EtherFabric custom NPB + ADLINK's role and response
index_4.md Conclusions
index_5.md Annex: full ADLINK statement + MOEA International Trade Administration response

Editorial approach

  • Landing page includes a neutrality statement: this translation is a faithful rendering of the InterSecLab report and does not constitute an endorsement of any specific claims by anoni.net
  • Allegations against ADLINK in Chapter 3 are paired with the company's full response in the Annex (Chapter 5), so both positions are available for readers to evaluate themselves
  • All sourced quotations from external parties (companies, government agencies, public figures) are translated faithfully from the source without added commentary

Images

Both images are hot-linked to interseclab.org/wp-content/ rather than mirrored locally. A note in index.md flags that broken images may occur if InterSecLab moves the originals.

Other changes

  • docs/mkdocs.yml: add MADLink sub-nav under reports (only zh-TW build; mkdocs_cn.yml / mkdocs_en.yml left untouched for now)
  • docs/zh-TW/reports/index.md: add MADLink entry to reports landing

Out of scope (rolling follow-up)

  • zh-CN translation
  • en version (since English is the source language, the en version mostly needs Taiwan-perspective annotations rather than a full translation)
  • Matrix discussion channel creation (placeholder link points to #interseclab-madlink:im.anoni.net)

Test plan

  • mkdocs build produces all 6 new pages with correct routing
  • Image hot-links to interseclab.org render correctly in the built HTML
  • Internal cross-references (between chapters, to Internet Coup translation) resolve without broken anchors
  • Style scan: no forbidden patterns (em-dash, certain comparative sentence structures, AI-template opening phrases)
  • Editorial neutrality statement present in landing page
  • Local mkdocs serve visual confirmation on reviewer's machine
  • Verify Matrix channel name is correct or update before merge

Translate "MADLink: A Taiwanese Vestige in the Geedge Supply Chain"
(InterSecLab, 2026-04-24) to Traditional Chinese (Taiwan), following the
same multi-chapter pattern as the existing Internet Coup translation.

The report investigates Taiwan-based ADLINK Technologies' supply of 1,708
CSA-7400 network appliance units to Geedge Networks between 2019 and
early 2020, deployed in Kazakhstan as part of a state-level censorship
system. It also documents ADLINK components found in Geedge's EtherFabric
custom network packet broker deployed in Myanmar.

Structure (5 chapters + landing):
- index.md: landing page, chapter index, editorial neutrality statement,
Matrix discussion link, About InterSecLab section
- index_1.md: Executive Summary, What we found, Why it matters
- index_2.md: Geedge supply chain + three TSG hardware generations
- index_3.md: EtherFabric + ADLINK's role and response
- index_4.md: Conclusions
- index_5.md: Annex (full ADLINK statement + MOEA response)

Images hot-link to interseclab.org/wp-content/ rather than being mirrored
to assets.anoni.net. Landing page includes an editorial neutrality
statement noting the translation is a faithful rendering of source
material and does not constitute endorsement of any specific claims.

mkdocs.yml nav and zh-TW/reports/index.md landing updated.
zh-CN and en translations to follow as community capacity allows.

Add index_6.md as a snapshot of how Taiwan media, government, and
legislators have received the MADLink report (as of 2026-05-16).
Chinese narrative for local readers, English summary for international
researchers landing on the zh-TW page. Tip admonition on the report
landing page guides both audiences to the new observation page.

Also consolidate the Matrix discussion link to the shared
interseclab-the-internet-coup room (same series), and fix the figure
caption so its markdown link renders via attr_list.
