πŸš— Automotive Software Engineer | Developing tools for Embedded Systems & Automotive Systems

Hi, I'm Akhil πŸ‘‹

I'm an Automotive Software Engineer specializing in the domain of embedded systems, modern C++, automotive cybersecurity, functional safety, and systems engineering.

In the last 4+ years, I've been working on all phases of the full software development life cycle, from requirements analysis, system design, implementation, verification & validation, integration, deployment, and ongoing maintenance to develop production-level software for safety critical automotive platforms alongside global Automotive OEMs.

πŸš€ Why Automotive Cybersecurity?

As the vehicles of today become more connected and software-driven, it becomes essential for them to be secure in order to maintain the overall safety and reliability of the system. My goal is to deepen my expertise in embedded automotive security by building practical tools that solve real engineering problems and improve software validation and development workflows.

πŸš— Areas of Expertise

  • Modern C++ (C++17/20) & Embedded C
  • Embedded Linux, QNX, VxWorks & FreeRTOS
  • AUTOSAR (Classic & Adaptive)
  • Automotive Cybersecurity (ISO/SAE 21434)
  • Functional Safety (ISO 26262)
  • Systems Engineering
  • Software Architecture & Design
  • Automotive Diagnostics
  • CAN / CAN FD / Automotive Ethernet
  • Secure Communication (SecOC, E2E Protection)
  • Device Drivers & Board Bring-up
  • Multithreading, IPC & High-Performance Systems Programming

What You'll Find Here

This GitHub repository contains projects which address practical engineering problems related to automotive software, embedded systems, and cybersecurity.

πŸ”¨ Currently Building

Secure on Board Communication (SecOC) Security Analyzer (Provisional Name)

🚧 Under Active Development

A cross-platform Python-based automation tool designed to simplify the validation and analysis of AUTOSAR Secure Onboard Communication (SecOC).

This tool performs automated analysis that would otherwise require a lot of manual work for AUTOSAR engineers and validation teams, working with AUTOSAR ARXML configuration and CAN/CAN FD network captures to detect security problems.

Although designed to be cross-platform, development is currently focused on Linux and Windows.

  • Parse AUTOSAR ARXML configuration files
  • Automatically discover SecOC-protected PDUs
  • Analyze ASC and PCAP network captures
  • Detect Freshness Value failures
  • Detect replay attacks
  • Detect duplicate frames
  • Detect rollback counter mismatches
  • Generate detailed HTML analysis reports

Intended Users

  • AUTOSAR Developers
  • Validation & Verification Engineers
  • Automotive Test Engineers
  • Cybersecurity Engineers
  • Systems Integration Engineers

🚧 Currently under active development.
