Electrical Age (ELN) brings large-scale electrical simulations and advanced automation tools to Minecraft 1.7.10. Development continues here as the maintained fork by Jared Dunbar (jrddunbr) and Graham Nothup (Grissess); upstream has gone dormant. Back up your worlds before testing new builds.
Visit electrical-age.net for general project info, join the Discord server for support/discussion, and browse the GitHub wiki for extra documentation.
Key highlights:
- True electrical simulation with resistive and capacitive effects
- Machines such as furnaces, solar panels, wind turbines, batteries, and capacitors
- Face-based wiring that packs sensors, actuators, alarms, and other IO on each cube face
- Rich lighting options, interoperability with redstone circuits, and extensive materials/items
- Utility tools including X-ray scanners, flashlights, and portable mining drills
We only upload releases to the GitHub releases page, the Modrinth page, and the CurseForge page. If you download the mod from anywhere else, you are taking an unnecessary risk.
ElectricalAge is Minecraft 1.7.10 compatible only. Forge is required.
- Fetch the latest stable build from the releases page.
- Drop the downloaded JAR into your launcher’s mods folder. Use Forge 1.7.10, revision 1614.
- Launch the game and enjoy.
- Optionally, grab the test world to explore ready-made examples.
If you want to compile the project yourself, see the contributing guide.
