I'm a fullstack engineer with 6+ years of experience crafting performant, scalable web applications. Currently building at Deel, previously shipped products at scale at JioHotstar (IPL, Olympics) and Cars24.
Beyond code, I'm curious about engineering, energy sector, systems, design, startups, and cinema. I also host a podcast called The Positive Shift.
Let's connect if you'd like to geek out over any of those π€
- Frontend: ReactJS, Redux, TypeScript, NextJS, Vite, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Web Performance, WCAG Accessibility
- Backend: Node.js, Express.js
- Databases: Firestore, MongoDB
- Tooling: Nx, Webpack, Vite, Cypress
- Practices: System Design, A/B Experimentation, Cross-platform (Web + App)
I believe programming is more about clear articulation and thoughtful structure than simply picking tools π€·
A few things I've shipped that I'm proud of:
- Launched a feature at JioHotstar generating ~βΉ10M in sales and 300M+ interactions in a single month
- Delivered an IPL voting day feature used by 100K+ users in just 2 days
- Drove 27M clicks through match summary cards across cricket and football fixtures
- Improved Cars24 M-Web performance by ~88% (Lighthouse 36 β 68) and passed Core Web Vitals
- Helped migrate 1000+ organisations to Deel's new DeelIT flow
- Shashwat's portfolio: As the name says: "Shashwat's portfolio website".
- Wall.Eth: A Web3 app for sending crypto via wallet connections.
- Task Board: A minimal task tracker inspired by Notion's workflow.
- Tab Securer: A Chrome extension to mark, hide, and show private tabs with one click.
- Slurppy: A restaurant ordering platform I built and rolled out across 5 locations in Lucknow.
I contribute to communities like Team Shiksha and Real Dev Squad, where I've conducted Frontend Deep Dive and System Design sessions for students.
I've also worked on multiple issues at Mattermost, including these.
- Host of The Positive Shift podcast
