Project-1: END to END / NLP & Huggingface - Automated Text Summarization

• Motivation: Developed an abstractive text summarization system using transformer models to condense dialogues into concise summaries.
• Utilized SAMSum dataset (14.7K train, 819 test, 818 validation samples) with multi-turn conversations and human-written summaries.
• Analyzed dialogue-summary pairs, tokenized with Pegasus tokenizer (maxlen 1024/128), prepared seq2seq features (input_ids, attention_mask, labels).
• Fine-tuned google/pegasus-cnn_dailymail using Hugging Face Seq2SeqTrainer with ROUGE evaluation and mixed precision.
• Implemented inference pipeline with beam search generation for real-time summarization.
