I see this step is the first one of the FlexibleColumnLayout tutorial

where the samples for each step of the turialan can be seen here: https://ui5.sap.com/#/entity/sap.f.tutorial.fcl

In this first step, the browser window will show an empty page because at this stage there is no page content to be shown yet.

Then in step 3 , where content is added inside the FlexibleColumnLayout, the browser shows that content even without a wrapping sap,m.App.

Can you please recheck the setup and comment if you suggest a wrapping sap.m.App is still needed?
