Welcome to the RPDB Folders Quick Start Guide!

  • Start the RPDB Folders App (if it does open a browser page automatically, go to this link in your browser)
  • Enter your RPDB API Key
  • Press the "Poster Settings" Button
  • Choose your preferred Movie and Series poster settings
  • Press the "Save & Close" Button
  • Press "Add Movie Folder" (or "Add Series Folder")
  • Browse to Your Desired Media Folder (a folder which includes many movie / series folders or movie / series video files; alternatively, you can also press the "None" button at the top to paste your media folder path)
  • Press "Add Folder" (after pressing, the application will automatically start scanning the media folder and adding posters for each movie / series it finds)
  • That's it! Now just continue adding your Media Folders to the RPDB Folders app!

It is important to know that you need to have your Media Server (Plex / Emby / Jellyfin / Kodi) set up to prefer local media posters over plugin posters.

For advanced settings that are folder / video file specific, you can press the "Edit Movie Poster" (or "Edit Series Poster") button and search for the media poster in question.
