Titan Bird Trails is a next-generation, AI-powered web platform that transforms birdwatching at California State University, Fullerton. Experience campus nature like never before—guided by generative AI, real-time sightings, and smart recommendations.

  • Campus Bird Finder: Instantly get AI-generated tips and live sighting data for any bird on campus. The system uses Google Gemini and the eBird API to tell you where and when your favorite bird was last seen, and how to spot it.
  • Chat with a Bird: Have a real conversation with an AI that roleplays as your chosen bird, blending real facts and personality.
  • AI Bird Poems: Generate creative, species-specific poems with a single click.
  • Personalized Birding Tips: Receive actionable, AI-crafted advice for finding and appreciating birds in your local environment.
  • Live Data Integration: All sightings are powered by the eBird API, ensuring up-to-date, location-specific results.

🚀 Quick Start

  1. Clone the repository
    git clone https://github.com/MohitPatni0731/Birding-CSUF.git
    cd Birding-CSUF
  2. Install dependencies
    npm install
  3. Set up environment variables
    VITE_GEMINI_API_KEY=your_gemini_api_key_here
    VITE_EBIRD_API_KEY=your_ebird_api_key_here
  4. Start the development server
    npm run dev
