Shit. Do we really have to bring this crap back in? :-( :-( :-( Just need to double check it won't sneak in master/3.0. |

Let's not include in v3/master. But I would appreciate it if we could add it back to 2.x releases. |

@pjfanning Yeah, I get the problem & solution. Just feeling grumpy about legacy issues, having hoped this was not necessary. Will merge today so we can help Hadoop project and possibly others. Thank you for working on this. |

#134 is causing real problems for Apache Hadoop and a great deal of the ecosystem of Big Data libs and tools that need to support Hadoop.
A few developers have tried to get Hadoop off of JAXRS v1 (Jersey 1) but there has been no success.
#134 has forced Hadoop to stick to Jackson 2.12 and that version is getting increasingly stale.
