This repository is the home for community feedback on the ArcGIS Velocity Migration Tool. It exists so that bug reports, feature requests, and questions can be tracked, discussed, and incorporated across releases.
The tool itself is developed elsewhere — this space is dedicated to hearing from you.
How this tool is supported: The ArcGIS Velocity Migration Tool is maintained by the ArcGIS Velocity Product Team and is not supported by Esri Technical Support. Please direct all questions, bug reports, and feature requests about the tool to this repository and its Discussions.
This applies to the hosted migration tool itself. Esri Technical Support can still help with the underlying products and content — for example, exporting a GeoEvent Server configuration, importing the generated ArcGIS Velocity configuration, or troubleshooting items after they have been imported into Velocity.
Open a bug report. The more detail you can provide — steps to reproduce, the ArcGIS environment you were signed in to, the tool release, and your browser — the faster we can help.
Open a feature request to suggest an enhancement or new capability.
Start a conversation in Discussions. It's the best place to ask questions, share tips, and work through migration challenges with others.
Release news is posted in the Announcements category. Each release mirrors the User Guide Changelog, so you can follow along as the tool evolves.
- Search first. Someone may have already reported the same thing — a reaction or comment on an existing issue helps us prioritize.
- Be specific. Include what you expected to happen and what actually happened.
- Redact sensitive information. Please remove tokens, credentials, and any private data from screenshots and logs before posting.
This is a public repository. Please do not post GeoEvent Server configuration exports (XML), credentials, tokens, hostnames, or other sensitive data in issues or discussions — anything shared here is publicly visible and effectively permanent.
If troubleshooting requires your configuration or other private details, start a discussion and the maintainers will follow up privately to arrange a secure, private file transfer. Do not post the sensitive data in the public thread.
To report a security vulnerability, please see SECURITY.md.
This repository is for feedback only and does not accept code contributions. See CONTRIBUTING.md for how to file bugs, request features, and ask questions, and our Code of Conduct for community expectations.
This repository is maintained by the ArcGIS Velocity Product Team.
- Product help or private details: start a discussion; for anything involving sensitive data, the maintainers will follow up privately to arrange a secure transfer.
