If you equip a horse w/ any gear, including tack & armor, their graphics mess up.

Get a horse, equip it w/ a tack, see the tack in front of your face.

Expected behavior

Not being broken.

Additional context

Surprisingly, the riot horse actually works now. It used to overlay the horse above the character.

That's a lot of not in repo mods, be careful with those, the chance they cause issues especially with experimental version like you're using is very very high. I'm not sure if that's related to your issue at all though.

Ok, I was able to reproduce the effect seen on the riot horse on a regular horse; vanilla, experimental 2026-04-15-2142, with both Chibi_Ultica and MSXotto+.

That's a lot of not in repo mods, be careful with those, the chance they cause issues especially with experimental version like you're using is very very high. I'm not sure if that's related to your issue at all though.

Also, a small side note, should we change the way Chibi_Ultica handles horses? I like the broomstick & all, but it seems like the tack was made only for it, as it cannot be seen on Ultica.

Alright, I think I found the problem. All the armor, reins, & saddle bags are set as fg, not bg. Though I'm not sure how layering works for backgrounds.
