Solder Fumes Extraction /fumes.yaml
- Uses the PINECIL Home Assistant integration to expose entities like
operating_mode and pinecil_tip_temperature from my soldering iron.
- When the PINECIL's operating mode switches to
soldering, it triggers this automation which then turns on an exhaust fan at my electronics workbench.
- Why? - Soldering is fun but creates some nasty fumes and my sensitive little lungs need protection. I frequently forget to turn the fan on until I'm already feeling the effects. This automation helps prevent that.
US Women's Soccer /footie.yaml
- Uses the HACS Team Tracker integration to pull in data about NWSL and USWNT games. Changes dynamically based on upcoming + post status. Team Tracker cards also show broadcast network and live possession stats etc. which is pretty handy.
- Why? Between inconsistent broadcast deals and the comparative lack of investment in women's sports, it can actually be kind of frustrating to figure out when/where to watch. This dashboard solved that problem for me.
