This issue serves as historical record for why SolarThing Android won't be on the Google Play Store for much longer
I cannot update the app to SDK version 35 because I believe it would be too restrictive for SolarThing.
I don't want to have to debug a timeout if SolarThing runs for more than 6 hours in a given day.
Additionally, I think this is the deal breaker.
I assume there's a work around for this, but as it stands now, I do not believe starting the service on boot would work after SDK 35: https://developer.android.com/about/versions/15/behavior-changes-15#fgs-boot-completed
It's been a good run, but I no longer have the free time to want to invest into updating an app every 6 months when the app only needs an update every few years.
