Could someone please explain what β̂, θ̂ and expression̂ represent, and how they differ from β, θ and expression without the hat? My understanding is that, because the actual ground-truth is not available, you are comparing your model’s output to the SMPL-X model’s output—is that correct? I can also see these parameters in the hand-loss and face-loss calculations; during those calculations, are you comparing the model’s output with the FLAME model for the face and the MANO / FreiHAND model for the hand?
