Unable to update instance/download library files.

Within the last 3 days, whenever I try to open the launcher, it gets stuck at 0% when downloading library files, or updating assets index. I have updated the launcher to its latest version. the only option I have is to timeout the operation or abort it.

Getting failed URL errors. I am trying to launch 1.21.8.

The game is still playable offline, but I cannot update it with snapshot releases.

Update: Cleared metadata cache, but this stopped me from playing ofli

I can't reproduce this, could you try:

1. Close Fjord Launcher
2. Move C:\Users\Vishnu\AppData\Roaming\FjordLauncher to C:\Users\Vishnu\AppData\Roaming\FjordLauncher.bak to reset Fjord Launcher while making a backup of your launcher data
3. Launch Fjord Launcher again and set it up

If you want to restore your original data, move C:\Users\Vishnu\AppData\Roaming\FjordLauncher.bak back to C:\Users\Vishnu\AppData\Roaming\FjordLauncher.

You could also try using Prism Launcher's metadata server instead, in case there's an issue with the connection between you and meta.unmojang.org. Go to Settings -> APIs -> Metadata Server and enter https://meta.prismlauncher.org/v1/.

Thanks for the reply. I cannot seem to find FjordLauncher.bak

That is what is in the AppData/Roaming folder.

I have tried changing the metadata server, but there was no difference,.

Update: with the updated metadata server:

It was just being quite slow.
