Notes on creating motion graphics animations #911

Preface
For a recent project I'm using TiXL to generate a short motion graphics animation. I have a clear understanding of the content, a script, a voice over and a background track. The overall content style is uniquely suited for TiXL.
While setting up the project I notices a wide range on potential improvements, some of them could eventually be translated into feature and bug issues.
Setup:
- Startup currently takes pretty long because all projects are loaded
- Creating a new project asks for a namespace, but this namespace is not reflected in created directory.
- Project list could be grouped into clusters like "commercial work", "Exploration", "Training", etc
- Opening a project folder with windows explorer is awkward
- "Resource" is a horrible folder name. "Assets" would be so much clearer.
- Adding a project soundtrack is awkward. Drag and drop would be nicer.
- Adding a second soundtrack (e.g. a voice-over track) is not possible, but would be extremely helpful.
- Audio-tracks should have simple waveform
- There is no project resolution, which is awkward. It's clear that the result should be 16:9. Would've been great with the new Project Dialog would have asked me.
- Adjusting the output window aspect ratio feels so so
- Starting with some animations is difficult, because pacing is hard.
- Warp keyframe selection would be extremely cool
- Storyboad-Sketching is awesome, but...
- no retiming without keyframes
- Can't change default stroke color of added strokes
- A small story-board view all all panels would be great.
- Undo would be great...
- Shift-C adds offset keyframes to ALL visible animation tracks, which destroyd my initial keyframe animation
- Duplicate with output connection (e.g. multiple texts) would be cool.
- Would be nice, if the Text op would indicate the text content
- Select point with SDF does not support a "wave front". But could be done via gradient etc.
- Easy Text animations are missing! -> Maybe small helper compound op?
