why is the apple appstore version still on 0.3.5

i am getting popups that neew beta releases are available.
i can not shut of those popups.
howevr it seems that the latest appstore version is still on v 0.3.5
why is this one not updated.

i tried to install he latest beta but that one refuses to work on an intel mac 2019

The download on the popup for arm64 says 'This is damaged = delete it immediately'.

Go to MQTT-explorer.com and download latest version there. :-)
Its 0.4.0-beta.6 its working nicely but You have to follow the instructions on "How to start untrusted apps" (Link just below the download). to make it start.

Still not working for me I'm afraid. The ARM version still says 'This is dangerous, delete it' - I am on an ARM machine. The disk image which is linked by Intel, will down load and can be run.. But it doesn't connect to servers, presumably because of rosetta problems.

Sorry My answer was a bit quick and I forgot the most important part...
I had to dig a bit deeper to make it work myself.. and it was not obvious...
You ned to use Terminal commands to make the changes that allow it to run..

Since its a unsigned app, You need to use a Terminal command to give it premission to run:

Go to the applications folder:
cd ~/Applications 

And run this:
sudo xattr -d com.apple.quarantine MQTT\ Explorer.app
