Welcome to the Matrix-Control discussion space. Whether you've been following my work since the MaxForLive editor or you're just discovering this project, I'm thrilled to have you here.

As you can see, Matrix-Control is a full rewrite from the ground up using JUCE 8, aiming to provide a professional VST3/AU experience for the legendary Oberheim Matrix-1000.

While I'm working hard on the code and the GUI, I'd love to get to know the community better. Knowing your setup helps me ensure better compatibility and prioritize features.

1. Your DAW & OS: (e.g., Ableton on macOS Silicon, Cubase on Windows 11, etc.)
2. Your Matrix-1000 Firmware: (Original 1.11, Gligli, Tauntek?)

Super excited for this project!

• Ableton 12 on Mac OS M4
• Tauntek firmware
• Blokas midi hub

A feature I'd love see is exposing the Matrix control params as 1st class plug in parameters. This would enable me to hit the Configure button in Ableton to add paramters to the plugin's panel in Ableton, which in turn would allow me to map them to my main controller (A Melbourne Instruments roto control)

Thanks for suggesting this idea, it would indeed be a lot of fun, and I'll see if I can implement it.

However, be aware of a crucial point regarding MIDI assignments and automation: the Matrix-1000 is quite temperamental with MIDI. The synth tends to crash when it receives too much MIDI data because its buffer size isn't very large and its processing capacity is limited.

In a previous version of this project (my free Max for Live "Matrix-1000 Editor" device), I had to implement a MIDI output data limiter to control the transmission speed and prevent the synth from crashing.
