Can't seem to make ADB connection work

Hi ! Whenever i try to connect using ADB the PC app only ever gives me one error code of which i can't find any references in the existing issues, sorry if its been covered already.
the error code is :
"cant bind port 55555 on this pc: One use of each socket address is usually authorized (os error 10048)
ADB is added to path and working and my phone (Galaxy Z Fold 5) has USB Debugging enabled.
Any idea? Have i missed something obvious somewhere ?

Please revert the Android and PC versions to 2.2.3. Version 2.2.4 appears to have a bug that causes the adb connection to be abandoned after the first shutdown, which blocks the port. Judging by the commits, the fix seems to have already been made; all that remains is to wait for the release.

Confirming this is reproducible on macOS too (ADB mode), not only on Windows.

Environment

• Desktop: macOS 26.3 (Darwin 25.3.0), arm64
• Repo/app line: AndroidMic desktop app (ADB mode)
• Phone: Android device with USB debugging enabled

Repro steps

1. Connect phone over USB with USB debugging enabled.
2. Start AndroidMic desktop app and connect in ADB mode.
3. Stop/disconnect or close the desktop app.
4. Start app again and try to reconnect in ADB mode.

Actual result

• Reconnect intermittently fails with port bind conflict:
  • can't bind port 55555 ... Address already in use
• In failing runs we also hit a stale IPC socket path/state, after which connection init fails until cleanup/restart.

Expected result

• App should fully clean up ADB forwarding and IPC socket state on disconnect/shutdown, then reconnect cleanly without manual cleanup.

Adding exact versions from our repro so this is clear:

• macOS app version: 2.2.5 (CFBundleVersion 20260218.123518)
• Android app version: 2.2.5 (versionCode=21)
• Device: Redmi Note 8T
• Host: macOS 26.3 (Darwin 25.3.0, arm64)

So this happened on 2.2.5 on both desktop + Android, not just 2.2.4.

Primary errors observed:

• can't bind port 55555 on the pc: Address already in use (os error 48)
• intermittent stale IPC socket behavior (/private/tmp/android-mic.sock)

Hi I can reproduce this error on mac. It seems that macos is reserving this port 55555 for some unknown reason, see the discussion here.

Starting from v2.2.5, you can go to settings and change the port number to something else, like 55556. I'm going to update the default port number because it seems to be too popular lol
