Contributing Guidelines

Note

Thank you for being interested in the Webdev Resources. This curated list is a personal project aimed at web developers and indie-hackers. Thank you for your contributions. I truly appreciate your suggestions and feedback.

How to Contribute

Please ensure that your pull request follows these guidelines:

  • Search for previous suggestions before submitting a new one as it may be a duplicate.
  • The pull request should be complete and adhere to all the guidelines.
  • Please avoid opening a draft pull request while working on the suggestions.
  • Make an individual pull request for each suggestion to facilitate easier review.
  • Add new suggestions to the bottom of the relevant category.
  • Use the following format for your pull request title:
    • add [resource name] to [resource category]
    • For example: add netlify to hosting
    • For example: add strapi to headless-cms
  • In the pull request comment, provide a link to the submitted suggestion using this format:
    • [resource name]: [resource link]
    • For example: netlify: https://netlify.com
    • For example: strapi: https://strapi.io
  • Please keep your descriptions short yet informative:
    • The description should begin with a capital letter.
    • Do not use title case in the description.
    • Do not use marketing taglines as descriptions.
    • Avoid to repeating the resource name as descriptions.
  • Ensure that your editor is configured to remove trailing whitespace.
  • Please check your spelling and grammar. You can use tools like Grammarly to assist you.
  • Double-check that your suggestion is genuinely free, freemium, or has free tiers.

  • Join Discussions: Join or start a discussion in the GitHub Discussion section of this repository. This is an excellent platform for sharing experiences, asking questions, and suggesting resources.

  • Suggest Resources: If you know of innovative resources that could benefit the community, I would greatly appreciate your recommendations. While inclusion is not guaranteed, your suggestions are valued.
