Potential need for additional instruction for homebrew install #39

(I'm submitting this issue just for informational purposes. If it's replicated by other users, perhaps it would be useful to include info about the potential need for a reboot after install via Homebrew in the README.)

When installing with the new homebrew tap, I ran into an issue with running hear. Terminal gave me an error involving com.apple.coreaudio.avfaudio (that's the only text I saved from the error, unfortunately). Strangely, only the native Terminal gave me the error. iTerm just kept hear running with no response.

The issue was solved with a reboot.

Uinstalling and reinstalling hear didn't replicate the isssue. I think it the issue may have had to do with the fact that the terminal prompted me to run xcodebuild -runFirstLaunch. However, I was unable to replicate this prompt, including after uninstalling and reinstalling XCode.

Other possible factors:

  • hear had previously been installed manually, although I had deleted it before installing via Homebrew
  • I had the SoundSource app running
