Getting - zsh: abort hear on iMac M1

first try on MacbookPro M1 and works fine but same not working on desktop iMac...

Looks like some security issue. first allowed app opened from App store and identified developers
but still getting abort.

hear -h is works fine

Checking why with:
xattr -l /usr/local/bin/hear

getting : com.apple.quarantine: 0081;665dd081;Chrome;

also tried to exclude from quarantine xattr -d com.apple.quarantine /path/to/file , but not helped..

Same experience here, but on my MacbookAir M1. Did you manage to find the solution?

Could you try opening the hear binary in the Finder using the Open contextual menu? This is almost certainly permissions-related.

Thanks Svein, it was indeed a permissions issue. When I did as you suggested, hear got run in Terminal which requested the Speech Recognition permission, and ran fine then onwards.

Also, as I normally use iTerm and it wasn't triggering the permission request, I noticed that it was a bit out of date. Once upgraded to the latest version (3.5), hear works from there as well.

This approach (right-click and Open in…) doesn't seem to work for the Warp terminal app.

iTerm, same issue. macOS 15.7.3, M1 Max.

Open with finder helps, but I need it to be in my .sh script.
