Translation in a pdf file

The translation doesn't seem to work on pdf files open in Firefox. On text selection the button doesn't appear. And with context menu nothing happens. Is it supposed to work? Is there a way to make it work?

I wanted to write about the same issue. Would be great if it would work in PDF files aswell.
