Here are the observations I have made while testing :

The first time a user logs in, the user is created but it is not authenticated (redirected in the Jellyseerr app). I need to login as a profile that has already been created, logout and then I can sign-in with the profile I previously tried with.

The watchlist auto-request feature does not work with account other than the Plex admin. I personally think this would be a great feature to add to this PR.

The pin input bos should be autoselected when a user has a code and since it is always a 4 digit code, why not submit as soon as 4 digits are entered.

Bonus : Wait for the OpenID integration (#1505) to be done so we can have both features.

Other than this I have found no bugs. @0xSysR3ll Thank you for making this possible!

I’ve fixed the non-auto-redirect behavior you pointed out — not sure how I missed that, thanks for catching it!

I also made a few UI enhancements to improve the overall UX: the PIN entry field is now auto-focused, and it will auto-submit once the PIN is fully entered.

Unfortunately, after some reversing and experimentation with the closed API, I wasn’t able to find a reliable way to retrieve profile-specific watchlists. It looks like we’ll have to wait for the official Plex API that’s expected to be released later this year.

Second round of testing

First of all, I love the UI/UX improvements you've made! I think it fits great with the Jellyseerr overall look and feel.
The bugs I pointed out in the first testing round seem fixed on my side.
Here are the observations I've made during my second testing :

1. Since the auto-request feature is not available for plex home users, I think we should hide the option in the settings for these users.

2. Add a back button in the account selector page

4. The username/password sign-in seems broken. I can't sign-in using a normal Jellyseerr account, I get an access denied error (see below).

5. I think regular jellyseerr account should have the ability to link their plex home account thru the Linked Accounts page. These is no add button at the moment.

Like I said in my first round, I think integrating this with OIDC would be great, but probably in another PR. One feature that would be interesting is to know what user watched movies/shows with the Tautulli integration. Having the plex profile feature could help us make the link between the jellyseerr and tautulli account and show in Jellyseerr who watched what shows/movies. Again, this is probably for another PR, just giving ideas.

1. Regarding the auto-request feature: I'm not sure when it will be feasible — possibly even before this PR is merged — so it's worth keeping for now. But definitely something we can discuss further.
2. Good catch! I’ve just added it.
3. About the error: IIRC, you need to use the account’s email to log in — not the username. Username-based login only works for Jellyfin/Emby users.
4. About the missing button: It’s only configurable by the user themselves — not visible from the admin view. Also, the email must match the Plex user’s email. But perhaps you were referring to linking a local user to a Plex profile? If that’s the case, then yes, that’s not implemented yet — I haven’t explored that part (yet).

I haven’t set up Tautulli on my side, but from what I understand, we’ll likely face the same issue as with the watchlist sync. That’s just an assumption for now — I’ll need to take a closer look to confirm.

1. After some thought — I won’t hide the feature from Plex profiles for now, since doing so would require some refactoring. The feature works as-is: requests made via Plex profiles will simply appear as coming from the main Plex user, which should be fine for the preview.

2. Since Plex profiles don’t have associated email addresses, this isn’t something we can implement in this PR. But as you mentioned, it could definitely be revisited in a future one.

By the way, I did some testing with Tautulli and looked into the code behind the watch synchronization — and I actually got it working with Plex profiles. It just needed a small addition to the Plex profile’s user model (so my earlier assumption was way off 😅).
