<p class="u-text u-text-1"> Currently, Timo is a Policy Officer at the Dutch Research Council (NWO). Here, he works in an organizational position within the domain Science and supports researchers by managing calls. <br>
<br>Timo is an experience postdoctoral researcher in the field of Biomedical Science, which involves working on projects in a multidisciplinary team. As a result, Timo is experienced in stem cell culture and differentiation, cancer therapy, drug development, and molecular imaging. <br>
<br>During his postdoc at the Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC), Timo worked on projects involving, e.g., stem cells, bacterial nanocellulose, CO-releasing molecules, extracellular vesicles, and implantable medical devices to treat diseases, such as hearing loss, (gastrointestinal) cancer, or hypertension. The main focus of Timo's research was the translation of therapies into the clinic as marketable products.
