MemForge Security Hardening Plan

Based on the Adversarial Security Assessment conducted 2026-04-08.


Priority Tiers

Tier 1 — Must fix before any production deployment

Implementation Order

Sprint 1: LLM Prompt Integrity + Concurrency Safety (Tier 1)

Prompt injection defense (#30):

Verification Checklist

After all hardening is complete:

  • Prompt injection test: store memory with LLM instructions, verify consolidation ignores them
  • Race condition test: 10 concurrent consolidate() calls, verify no data loss or duplication
  • Sleep cycle mutex test: concurrent sleep requests return error
  • OAuth2 validation test: malformed introspect response rejected
  • Audit immutability test: direct DELETE on audit_chain blocked by trigger
  • Pool timeout test: slow query killed after 30s
  • RLS test: connect as memforge_app, verify cross-agent SELECT returns empty
  • Graph traversal test: large graph returns capped results
  • MCP fuzzing: send malformed inputs, verify all rejected
  • Cache poisoning test: inject bad cache entry, verify schema validation catches it
  • Full penetration test by independent reviewer
