Git commit hash in the output of tjs -v?

Question:
Have you considered including the Git commit hash in the output of tjs -v?

• This would make the version string more precise — I’ve seen this approach in many projects.

The problem is, that doesn't work from a source tarball.

I do want to make a source distribution so downloading anything is not necessary (currently mbedtls does) if possible that is. A git hash could be put there in a file for example.
