Hey! I looked into this — the core issue is that meridian profile add requires claude auth login, which opens a browser. That doesn't work in Docker/headless Linux.

Two changes I'm planning that should fix this:

1. API key profiles (no browser needed)

meridian profile add work --type api --api-key sk-ant-...

Skips OAuth entirely — uses your Anthropic API key directly.

2. Import an existing config directory

meridian profile add work --config-dir /path/to/.claude

Authenticate on your local machine first, then point the profile at that .claude directory (e.g. volume-mounted into Docker).

Would either of these solve your problem? Or is there a different error you're hitting?

1. I'm just asking we don't have "meridian" command in the container
2. Our application developed so much right now, why don't we just create a layer to handle login logic? like when we open a browser go into our api page and click login button or add profile button, it will just show the authentication url on the next, and let us past the authentication code? we could totally create a middleware to handle this, right?

1. I can make the meridian command work however you will run into the same problem. You cannot open a browser in docker, this is a core part of how claude login works. I will have to think about this a bit, but right now there is not clean way to bypass this. I do not want to introduce something that tries to re implement oauth login, this is what got open code in trouble. I want to stick with what anthropic has provided.
2. Thats what the meridian command is for - it just doesnt work in docker.
3. You may need to perform the logins locally. then copy the profile over to your remote docker container. Meridian will refresh the tokens automatically once they are on the container.
