Record a history of all the Presidents of Ruby Australia on the website

Listing the Presidents is particularly useful when seeking more information on historical artifacts. Also for future committee members seeking advise.

@quintrino , @ZimbiX and my mentor @simonhildebrandt ,
I'm interested in working on this issue.

I would like your help with the following five questions.

1. I wonder if I should create a model for this presidents chart. I may not be understanding properly, but I feel that I should probably crate a model class if following MVC. However, I also noticed sponsors don’t have a model so actions seem to live in pages_controller.rb. How should I approach to add this chart?

2. I noticed committee members info is in yml files (Config > Data > yml files for both the current committee and previous committee). But these don't have term information for presidents (also other roles like treasury). How can I get this information?

3. Could anyone advise the earliest year and the latest year for this chart (ex. Between 2000 and 2040)?

4. Where would you like to have this chart?

5. Should I focus on presidents only? If not, which roles are all roles? I saw president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, general member in the yml files. In my head, if you would like charts for these roles, there will be five charts in total (names on left side and years as label at the bottom, titled as each role) Or, will this be more complicated chart (name and years same as five charts version but colours are assigned to indicate each role)? I'm getting confused by just writing this 😕

Depending on the scope of this chart, but If I have term period information, I can probably filter presidents, then get information start-year and end-year to create a table of presidents. Please advise if I am in the right direction.

1. I was originally thinking a basic yml file, rather than a model, at least to begin with, maybe the existing yml file could be expanded. I'm not sure.
2. Unfortunately there's no easy source of truth for this data. It would potentially be looking at git changes to the yml file.
   If @leesheppard is able to give you link to the old forum (if it's salvageable) that might have some old AGM minutes of election results.
3. The org began in 2011 so there would be no Presidents before that point
4. For the moment lets go with ruby.org.au/president where it lists the current president at the top, and then the previous presidents in rows of 2 below.
5. If you find that it's easy to collect the data on Secretary, Treasurer and Vice President as you're going, then we can potentially do the same for the others as well.

@quintrino - seeing as there's already a page for committee members, it seems like this chronological view might naturally fit on that page? (Probably at the top?)
