It's definitely possible, but it's hard for me to build in the support for it since I don't have access to the hardware. In my experience, it usually takes a couple of tries/rebuilds to get it to work. I can't really justify buying one right now either, so someone would need to either let me use their device somehow or donate a card |

I took a quick look, supporting it in FFmpeg seems fairly simple, object detection would take some more effort. Can you exec into the container and run the command |

Ah thanks @roflcoopter. I've only just ordered the cards so will get them set up as soon as they arrive. I was also pretty sure that FFmpeg should work. I did see some evidence saying that at least kernel 6.18 is needed to avoid FFMpeg crashes although that was for the B60 which is a dual GPU card. https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/drm/xe/kernel/-/issues/6029#note_3233607 |

Does anyone have some insight into using the Intel ARC B50 with Viseron? I've just bought 2 that I'd like to use for an NVR build. I did see some discussion last year on the Frigate github and Reddit pages saying that newer kernels would be needed but that Frigate itself also needs some work to take full advantage of it. But why use Frigate when you can use Viseron! :-D
In my case I want to use the B50 for video decoding/encode only. I may consider using it for Object detection in future but for now I am happy with my many Coral dual TPU cards.
