Glad to hear Viseron is less stressful on your system! Yeah the current integration with Home Assistant is done over MQTT which sadly doesnt support camera entities in a great way. An integration like Frigates would be ideal, but time is a limiting factor for me at the moment. One option could be to fork the Frigate integration and adapt it to Viserons API, and adjust things accordingly. |

Hmm. This would be a tad bit challenging for me as I would need to get used to everything Viseron and Home Assistant. I'll take a look into it |

Also, it would be nice if you could explain out the API. Thanks! |

Sorry for the late response. All the API endpoints are available in the As long as you dont have auth enabled you wont need any access tokens. If you do have auth, a token is required and i would need to make some changes in order to create persistent tokens |

@roflcoopter I've forked the MJPEG IP camera integration, and literally just copied + pasted the code into another repo, and changed the domain names, and it works! (shocker) Here's the URL for the integration (HACS). It's currently still just a fork of MJPEG IP Camera. Thanks!

Nice work! You can try to look at how Frigate does it and see if its possible to pull the cameras directly instead of the MJPEG streams, they are quite limited in quality and FPS |

I just migrated from Frigate to Viseron, since Frigate was taking up 20% cpu per each camera (my poor Core 2 Duo!), and am absolutely loving it! I wanted to also view cameras in HASS, but sadly I've noticed there is no integration. Looking at the HASS docs, it seems that HASS uses Python for integrations. So I am kind of requesting a HASS plugin. I am also pretty good at Python, so I could help the development of the integration (a little). Thanks for reading!
