Add support for publishing to Maven Central (Sonatype OSSRH is "Legacy" and will be shut down)

It seems Sonatype OSSRH is now "Legacy" and will be shut down in mid of 2025.

Projects need to switch to Maven Central for publishing which seems to require using a different API and different credentials.

I tried to switch publishing to Maven Central with the current plugin, but could not get it to work.

Can support be added in this plugin?

This plugin does not do publishing at all, does it?
Besides that you can just use new URLs and keep whatever current plugin you use.
