How to make a dev redpanda use even less cpu & memory ?

I installed redpanda on my ubuntu laptop, it use 2.9G memory, and make the CPU running high.
Though it's already in dev mode, can I further reduce its memory & cpu usage ?

Ok I figured it out.

For ubuntu:

sudo systemctl edit redpanda.service

Edit content:

[Service]
# clean up original one first (must do)
ExecStart=

# Redpanda start cmd (dev)
ExecStart=/usr/bin/rpk redpanda start \
  --smp 1 \
  --memory 512M \
  --reserve-memory 0M \
  --overprovisioned \
  --node-id 0 \
  --check=false \
  --mode dev-container

# systemd extra limit
CPUQuota=100%
MemoryMax=768M
MemoryHigh=600M

save as:

/etc/systemd/system/redpanda.service.d/override.conf

sudo systemctl daemon-reload
sudo systemctl restart redpanda
sudo systemctl status redpanda

top to watch memory & cpu usage.
