[BUG]: RPI imager's version for linux is flawed.

What happened?

tried different versions of RPIOS and none worked on my zero 2w when installing on linux mint. no matter what presets, settings, options. none started and the zero 2w never connected to the router. tried it on a win11 pc and it worked perfectly. on both machines, used the GUI. i wish i could provide you with some sort of logs or something... but i do not own a mini hdmi and my only possible way of interacting with the little bugger was if i could connect to it via the router. and that was impossible, since it didn't connect to the router, when flashing on mint.

I had a similar problem. It did boot the first time and I was able to ssh, but after a power off it would boot but not connect to wifi. After connecting hdmi and keyboard and mouse, I was able to determine that it had lost the WIFI configuration and so could not connect to wifi.
I connected and entered password using the HMI and then it worked. Suspect that /etc/NetworkManager/system-connections/*.nmconnection was not saved.
