We do not allow users to create new feature request issues in this repository. Please make use of our GitHub Discussions board for feature requests.

Maintaining Pterodactyl is an enormous undertaking that involves balancing limited availability with a fire hose of bugs, feature requests, general support, and overall long-term project maintenance. GitHub Issues are notoriously difficult for us to manage even when constrained just to known and reproducible bugs.

In the interest of our own sanity and soliciting more community feedback with requests, we ask that you first open your feature request in GitHub Discussions and let communication and planning happen there. If the project maintainers believe it would be a good fit and something we would accept a PR for, we will ask you to them open an issue and link to the discussion thread.

Finally, please see CONTRIBUTING.md before opening PRs to the project.

To everyone coming here from their feature request being closed — please feel free to open a Discussion if you believe it would still be beneficial to add. We're not dismissing anything simply because it got closed. Rather, we're pruning down the issue tracker from 13 pages of 5+ year old reports to something much more manageable.

We value discussion about feature requests, and the new Discussions system should make it easier to vote on ideas and see what is highly requested by the community. Previously we'd have to get random +1 comments on things to even notice them.
